Cross Country Garners All-Conference Recognition

The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's cross-country programs garnered All-Conference recognition for their recent success at the 2024 Mountain Valley Conference championships on Saturday, Oct. 19th at Herkimer.
Freshman Athena Seebald was the lone women's cross-country runner to land on the first team following her third-place finish at the championship meet. Seebald completed the 5K race with an official time of 22:58.7.
The men's program had three individuals finish inside the top 7 to earn first-team honors. Drew Schroeder placed second overall with a time of 30:05.5 to lead the men's program. Michael Kleinman and Robert Wiltsie were also recognized on the all-conference first team, finishing in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Ryan Keane finished 10th overall in the 8K championship race and Nick Ricciardi (12th) were named to the all-conference second team. On the women's side, Emily Wilson and Brooklyn Callaghan were also named to the second team following their top-14 finishes.
The men's program is entering the weekend poised to defend their title, while the women's program is looking to claim its first championship since the team repeated as champions in 2021 and 2022. They are set to compete in the 2024 NJCAA Region 3 championships, hosted by Herkimer, on Saturday, October 26th in Herkimer, NY.
