Men's and Women's Cross Country Competes at SUNY Poly Invitational

Results
The men's and women's cross country teams participated in their first meet of the 2017 season, the SUNY Poly Short Course Invitational on Saturday morning.
The Vikings women's team had four student-athletes compete in the meet with Sarah Rosenberger earning the best finish for Hudson Valley. Rosenberger finished the 4K race in 19:00 for 34th place out of 104 total runners.
The remaining Vikings runners, Mercedes Planavsky finished 53rd with a time of 20:16, Hayley Smith finished 86th with a time of 23:53 and Meaghan Brennan finished 98th with a time of 26:31.
The Men's program also competed on the SUNY Poly course, running a 6K with 140 student-athletes competing. Ryan Moon claimed the Vikings top spot, finishing 48th overall with a time of 21:46.
The rest of the men's cross country team, Holden Maynard finished 56th overall with a time of 21:58, Anton Conto finished 74th with a time of 23:03 and Parker Swierzewski placed 104th with a time of 25:06.
The cross country programs are back in action on Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. for the SUNY Morrisville Mustang Invitational.
