The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's cross country teams both finished in fifth place at the New Paltz Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Leading the men was Eric Young (Shaker/Latham) who finished third overall and Brendan Reilly (Columbia/East Greenbush) finishing 27th in the men's 8K race. For the women's 6K, Hilary Crannage (Polytech/Alleghany) finished 16th while Megan Crawford (Bethlehem/Delmar), Amanda Slyer (Averill Park/Averill Park) and Ashleigh Genito (Cohoes/Cohoes) finished in 26th, 27th and 28th place respectively.
Both cross country teams travel to Bard College on Saturday, Sept. 17 at noon.
