Hudson Valley's sophomore track and field student-athlete Devin Kipp (Hudson/Hudson) has been named the NJCAA Region 3 Male Athlete of the Week following his performance at the NJCAA Region 3 Track and Field Championships at Hudson Valley on April 27-28. 

Devin helped lead the Vikings to their second straight Region III Championship this weekend as he was named Male Track Athlete of the Meet. Kipp won the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, discus and was a member of the winning 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay teams. Kipp anchored the 4x400 relay and overcame approximately a 100 meter deficit to win the event for the Vikings. Kipp also placed second in the shot put and fifth in the javelin throw.

The Vikings outdoor track and field program will be preparing for the NJCAA National Championships at Mohawk Valley on May 11-12 in Utica, NY.
