Bio

Matthew Snow was named head coach of the Hudson Valley Community College men’s soccer program in 2025, bringing a strong foundation in player development, tactical expertise, and leadership to the Vikings.

Prior to his appointment, Snow served as the program’s assistant and goalkeeper coach under longtime head coach Devon Tomson. In that role, he played a key part in recruiting, tactical preparation, and mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field. His impact and leadership made him the natural successor to lead the program into its next chapter.

Snow also holds coaching roles beyond HVCC, serving as Director of Goalkeeping and Head Coach at Greenbush Soccer Club and as a team training coach with Beestera Soccer. He previously coached the New York Shockers Women’s Team in the WPSL, further strengthening his resume in competitive player development.

A former NCAA Division II student-athlete at Dominican College, Snow earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and later completed his master’s in Fitness & Wellness Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh. He holds a USSF D License, multiple grassroots certifications, and a Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma from United Soccer Coaches.

Snow is dedicated to building a competitive, character-driven program that helps student-athletes grow as players and as people. His coaching philosophy centers on effort, accountability, and continual growth—both on and off the pitch.
