The Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer team earned 3 points in a major win over SUNY Broome 7-1 in Binghamton on Wednesday afternoon.
After conceding a goal in the 13th minute the Vikings bounced back and shut down the Hornets as that was their only goal of the game. Viking's Camryn Curet had his first of 3 goals on the day just 2 minutes after the Hornets opened up the scoring. The second goal in the first half for the Vikings was scored by Harry Rubinstein with the assist from Joseph Davis. Davis had 2 assists on the day and a goal in the 69th minute as well. Curet tallied 3 goals on the day, his second and third coming in the 46th and 82nd minutes. Collin Schroeder and Diego Bonilla each scored a goal for the Vikings as well. Keeper William Brown saved 4 out of 5 shots in net for the full 90 minutes.
The Vikings look ahead to this weekend as they head to Canandaigua, NY to face Finger Lakes on Saturday at 1pm.
