The Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer team earned a point as they recorded a 1-1 tie vs Albany Pharmacy at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on Wednesday afternoon.
The Vikings scored and early penalty after the Panthers recieved an early yellow card in just the second minute of the game. The kick was taken and scored by midfielder Vincent Scavullo. The Vikings tallied 20 shots, 15 being on goal and sophomore Gavin Haller led the way with 3 out of 4 shots on goal. Vikings keeper William Brown had 3 key saves to hold the Panthers to one.
The Panthers rallied late in the game after being awarded a free kick just outside the box. Panther's Jay Carlson slotted the ball past Brown off the rebound of the free kick to tie the game with just seconds left in the game.
The men's soccer team return home on Wednesday, September 18th as they face Clinton at 3pm.
