The Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer team tallied a point as they recorded a 1-1 tie vs a quality Onondaga program at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on Sunday afternoon.
The Vikings gave up an early goal to the Lazers and had to fight their way back into the game with a second half score with 33-minutes remaining in the game. Both programs had a few more scoring opportunities, but nothing found the back of the net, forcing the game to end in a tie.
At the 33-minute mark, the Vikings tied the game up on a goal by Joseph Davis. Davis collected a deep pass from Caleb Motta and sent a fastbreak shot to the left side of the net for the score.
Hudson Valley returns to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 7 as they host SUNY Erie at 1 p.m. at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of HVCC.
