The Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer played a complete game as they dominated North Country with a 11-0 shutout win on Wednesday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of HVCC.

The Vikings did not waste any time as they scored their first goal within the first two minutes of the game when Tuyishime Gafasha connected for an unassisted goal, just out of the reach of the Saints keeper. Hudson Valley continued to pour on the offensive attack as they scored four goals in the first half, highlighted by two goals from Phenyo Ward. Ward posted back-to-back goals at the 33:55 and the 37:15 minute-marks in the first half.

In the second half, Samuel Box scored twice as nine total Vikings managed to find the back of the net in the game. At the 61:44-mark, Box connected on a direct kick for his first goal and the team's sixth goal of the game, respectively. Box later scored at the 81-minute mark and the game was safely in the hands of the Vikings as they improved their record to 2-2-2.

Hudson Valley will travel to Herkimer on Sunday, Sept. 24th for one of their toughest matches yet this season as Herkimer is currently ranked third in the latest NJCAA men's soccer poll. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m. in Herkimer, NY.
