Men's Soccer Tied at Tompkins Cortland

The Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer program competed for the full 90-minutes of the match and finished with a 1-1 tie against Tompkins Cortland on Wednesday afternoon in Dryden, NY.

Hudson Valley put a goal on the board first as Brennan Halbohm converted on a penalty kick in the 12th minute of play. The Panthers responded with the tying goal by Victor Santos (assisted by Aiden Philips) in the 32nd minute of action.

The second half was a stalemate and under the new college soccer rules, the game ends in a tie after the 90th minute of the game, without overtime or penalty kicks.

The Vikings will move forward with another away match this Friday, Sept. 15 as they travel to take on Holyoke at 4 p.m. in Holyoke, Mass.
