Men's Soccer Shutout Westchester; Wins 4th Straight

The Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer team won its fourth straight match after going on the road to defeat Westchester 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. 

The Vikings earned its second shutout win of the season as the Vikings displayed a strong defensive presence along with the tremendous play from goalkeeper Joe LaPan. LaPan finished the game with four saves. 

The Vikings scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick as Phenyo Ward converted on the PK attempt at the 32-minute mark in the first half of the game. 

The Vikings completed a perfect week and they will continue its streak next week as they travel to take on North Country on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. in Saranac Lake, NY.
