Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer (5-5-2) defeated Jefferson 5-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.
The Vikings kicked off the first half with two quick goals by sophomore Ryan Willis. Willis connected on his shots, which were placed precisely into the top left corner of the net. Willis finished the game with fourth career hat trick. Willis recorded three hat tricks during his freshman campaign last season.
Alex Mendel and Kyaw Lwin each scored their first career goals in the first half to give the Vikings a 4-0 advantage at the break. Mendel scored his unassisted goal with 25:05 on the clock and Lwin recorded his goal with 7:12 remaining.
The Vikings close out the 2019 regular season at home on Saturday, Oct. 26 as they welcome Genesee to the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.
