Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer (1-2) dropped their Region 3 match 4-1 on the road against Fulton-Montgomery in Johnstown, NY.

Fulton-Montgomery (2-1) kept the Vikings off balance for most of the night, as they scored a pair of goals in each half to defeat Hudson Valley 4-1. Matthew Cummins (Troy/Lansingburgh) scored the Vikings only goal of the night with 25 minutes remaining in the first half.

Hudson Valley held a 7-5 corner kicks advantage over Fulton-Montgomery, but were outshot 12-8 by the Raiders. Ryan Willis (Petershburgh/Berlin) tallied two shots and Cetin Karaca (Guilderland/Guilderland) and Ethan Samarija (Castleton/Maple Hill) each had one shot of goal.

Nate Langlois (Colonie/Colonie) protected the Vikings goal for the first half, recording four saves. Kyle Mercier (Glenville/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) closed out the game in goal and recorded two saves in 45 minutes.

Early in the second half, the Raiders picked up a red card and had to play the rest of the contest a player down, but the Raiders would push through. Fulton-Montgomery's Yasser Mourad scored two goals while Ahmed Mourad and Kevin Maldonado scored one goal each. The Raiders keeper Jonathan Mendoza recorded three saves.

The men's soccer team returns to action this Thursday, September 6 as they travel to play Ulster at 4 p.m.
