Lacrosse Wins 3rd Straight with Dominant 4th Quarter

The Hudson Valley Community College men's lacrosse program utilized a 7-0 run to close out the game as they Vikings defeated Tompkins Cortland 14-6 in a crucial Region 3 road match on Friday evening in Dryden, NY.

The game was back-and-forth all game until the fourth quarter. The Vikings were narrowly holding on to a 7-6 lead over the Panthers with just over 12 minutes remaining in the game. The Vikings responded, scoring seven unanswered goals to pull away for the program's sixth win of the season and in the process, they keep their postseason hopes alive.

The Vikings had seven different players score at least one goal in the win and were led by Cole Duncan, who tallied seven goals and one assist for eight total points. Duncan has scored 20 goals in the last three games during the Vikings current three-game win streak.

Up next for the Vikings is senior night as they host Herkimer in their final home game of the 2024 season this Monday, April 15th at 6 p.m. The senior ceremony will take place prior to the start of the game, around 5:45 PM.
