The Hudson Valley Community College men's lacrosse team dropped a road regional match 13-6 against Herkimer on Wednesday evening.

The game consisted of several runs by both programs with Herkimer jumping out to an early 2-0 lead after the first quarter. The Vikings owned the second quarter as they outscored the Generals 3-0 and took a 3-2 advantage into the halftime break.

Coming out of halftime, the Generals put on the pressure on the Vikings defense it led to a big 7-2 quarter in favor of Herkimer. The Vikings now trailed 9-5 heading into the final quarter against the No. 10 ranked Vikings.

In the fourth, the Generals carried the scoring momentum and jumped out to another 3-0 run in the first six minutes of the game, extending their lead to 12-5 before the Vikings' Gavin Breen found the back of the net with 8:48 remaining, trailing 12-6, but the game was out of reach as the Generals killed the final eight minutes and increased their lead to 13-6 for the win.
