Hudson Valley Community College men's lacrosse (8-4) dropped their regular season finale to Onondaga 18-2 on Saturday afternoon in Syracuse, NY.
The No. 3 ranked Onondaga Lazers jumped out to a 9-0 lead before Hudson Valley was able to get on the board. Nicholas Malatesta (North Greenbush/Averill Park) found the back of the net with 3:56 remaining in the first half. Stephen Gnat recorded the assist on Malatesta's goal.
Nathan Bruce (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville) tallied the second Vikings goal with an unassisted shot with 3:10 remaining in the third quarter.
The Vikings men's lacrosse program will learn its postseason ranking this week and is expected to land the No. 3 seed in the 2019 Regional Tournament. Hudson Valley will host the No. 6 seed on Wednesday, May 1 at the Vikings Outdoor Athletic Complex.
