The Hudson Valley Community College hockey team (7-10-1) defeated Middlebury JV 7-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Sean Spohr (Westfield/Westfield, MA) led the Vikings with three goals. The other scorers for Hudson Valley were Jordan Smith (Oakwood/Van Wert, OH), Tyler Demarco (Windsor Locks/Windsor Locks, CT), Chris Breault (Agawam/Agawam, MA), and Evan Perkins (Brattleboro Union/Brattleboro, VT).
Goaltender Jeff Smith (Peru/Plattsburgh) recorded 23 saves in his first shutout of the season.
The men travel to Mohawk Valley on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
