The Hudson Valley Community College hockey team (6-10-1) dominated SUNY Broome (0-12-1) 16-0 on Thursday evening.
Broome was overmatched from beginning to end as the Vikings scored nine goals in the first period, four goals in the second period, and three more in the third.
Kyle Constanty (Beekmantown/Plattsburgh) recorded four of his five goals and two assists in the first period. Troy Bennett (Mohonasen/Rotterdam) cashed in a hat trick in the contest, and Jordan Smith (Oakwood/ Van Wert, OH) and Markus Salmiery (Saratoga/Saratoga Springs) each had two goals of their own.
Anthony DiGiorgio (Bethpage/Bethpage) held strong in goal to record the shutout with 11 saves.
The men travel to Middlebury, VT on Sunday taking on Middlebury JV, for a game at 2 p.m.
