Vikings Golf Punch Ticket to Nationals with Strong Region 3 Finish

The Hudson Valley Community College golf team delivered an outstanding performance at the NJCAA Region 3 Championship, finishing in 2nd place with a team total of 641 over the two-day event hosted by Niagara at Glen Oak Golf Club in East Amherst, NY.

The Vikings were led by Stephen Jordan, who posted the team's best individual score with rounds of 78 and 77 for a combined 155, showing consistency under pressure. John Grant followed closely with an impressive second round of 78 after an 84 on day one, totaling 162.

Jonathan Reynolds carded rounds of 80 and 84 to finish at 164, while Joshua Carr recorded a steady 83 and 82 for 165 overall. Hunter Willett showed great improvement from day one to day two, bouncing back from a 92 with a 79, ending with 171.

Their collective effort secured a second-place finish overall in the highly competitive Region 3 Championship, earning the team a bid to the NJCAA National Tournament.

The Vikings now shift their focus to the NJCAA National Tournament, ready to build on their strong regional performance and compete among the best.
