The Hudson Valley Community College men's golf team played well at the Mohawk Valley Invitational and placed third with a 350 team score on Sunday afternoon at the Oneida Golf Course in Oneida, NY.
The Vikings had three individuals break 90 with Jonathan Reynolds and Joshua Carr recording and 84 through the 18-hole tournament. Matthew Valoze scored an 88, his best score of the season. Rounding out the team scoring was Josiah Howard, who tallied a 94.
Cameron France and Owen Hampson finished the round with a 95 and a 100, respectively. Individually, Nevin Wilkie finished the day with an 89 as the Vikings seventh player, which does not count toward the overall team score.
The Vikings are back in action this Friday, April 26th as they travel to compete in the Jamestown Invitational at the Chautauqua Golf Course in Chautauqua, NY. The golf team will then play at the Niagara Invitational on Saturday, April 27th at Willowbrook Golf Course in Lockport, NY.
