The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's golf programs played very well at the Herkimer Golf Tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Mohawk Valley Country Club in Little Falls, NY.

The men's team earned its best finish of the season as they posted a team score of 309 and placed second overall, just one stroke behind Niagara. Individually, Lane Jenkins found his swing as he was named the tournament medalist with the lowest 18-hole score as he shot a career-best round with a 69.

Sam Fair and Markham Daly both recorded a 79 during the 18-hole tournament and Devin Gilbert rounded out the team's top-four scoring as he posted an 82 in the round.

Riley McGovern continued to play well too as he shot under 100 once again and posted an official score of 95 in the round.

Sierra Yetto placed fourth overall in the individual women's scoring as she finished with a 122 and has continued to swing the clubs well over the last couple of weeks.

Up next for the golf program is the NJCAA Region 3 Championships at the Glen Oak Golf Club in East Amherst, NY.
