The Hudson Valley Community College golf program hosted a Region 3 match on a wet and rainy Sunday afternoon at the Colonie Country Club in Voorheesville, NY. Onondaga took home the overall team award as they shot 310 and Sean Barrett from Niagara claimed the individual title, shooting a 73 in the par-72 course.

For the Vikings, the team placed sixth overall out of eight qualifying teams, shooting 349 with a best-four team score. Leading the way for Hudson Valley was Lane Jenkins, who struggled on the front-nine due to the inclement weather. As he approached the turn, the weather cleared and Jenkins played a 36 on the back nine of the course.

Markham Daly and Sam Fair shot under 90 once again as Daly shot an 87 and Fair finished with an 89. Fair and Jenkins have now scored under a 90 for the third straight match, which is the qualifying mark for the NJCAA Region 3 tournament.

On the women's side, Sierra Yetto also struggled with the poor weather as she teed off at 11:40 a.m. She finished with a final score of 150.
