The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's golf programs teed off the 2023 season today as they competed at the Mohawk Valley Invitational at the Oneida Community Golf Club in Oneida, NY.
As a team, the men scored a best-four team score of 336, which placed them third overall and were paced by Lane Jenkins, who also placed third in the individual standings as he shot a 77 in the 18-hole event.
Joining Jenkins, Hudson Valley had two individuals shoot under 90, which is a qualifying average for the NJCAA Region 3 Tournament. Sam Fair and Dylan Mulholland each shot an 84 on the day and rounding out the Vikings best-four score was Devin Gilbert, who finished the round with a 91. Markham Daly and Riley McGovern scored a 95 and 112, respectively. On the women's side, Sierra Yetto finished the day shooting a 131.
