The Hudson Valley Community College golf program participated in the NJCAA Region 3 Tournament, hosted by Onondaga in Syracuse, NY. 

Anthony Bisognano (Colonie/Colonie) led the Vikings with back-to-back rounds of 83, which qualified him for the NJCAA National Tournament in Chautauqua, NY, hosted by Jamestown Community College from June 4-7, 2019. 

Bisognano earned All-Region recognition as he finished in eighth place with a total score of 166. The top-15 finishers were honored as the 2019 All-Region team. 

Cole Stannard (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens) and Nathan Fankhanel (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) also competed for the Vikings and overcame wet conditions in day one on Monday to post better scores in round two on Tuesday. Stannard and Fankhanel both finished Monday with an opening round score of 94. Stannard improved with a final round 83 on Tuesday, which totaled 177 for the tournament. Fankhanel also improved and posted a final round 88 and finished with a total score of 182. 

Bisognano will continue his season in a couple weeks as he will participate in the NJCAA National Tournament from June 4-7. The National Tournament is formatted as a PGA style four day, 72-hole tournament.
