Golf Qualifies for Regionals after Genesee Invitational

The Hudson Valley Community College golf program participated in the 2019 Genesee Invitational as a final tune-up before the NJCAA Region 3 Tournament. 

The Vikings sent two golfers to the event to give the student-athletes another opportunity to qualify for the NJCAA Region 3 Tournament. Anthony Bisognano (Colonie/Colonie) and Nathan Fankhanel (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) both hit their marks and will be participating in the Regional Tournament beginning on Sunday, May 12 in Syracuse, NY. 

Bisognano posted a final round 82, while Fankhanel finished with an 89 to hit the qualifying mark of 90 or better. 

The golf program will now participate in the NJCAA Region 3 Tournament on Sunday, May 12 through Tuesday, May 14 at the Timber Banks Golf Club in Syracuse, NY.
