Hudson Valley Community College men's golf team hosted its NJCAA Region 3 match on Saturday at Frear Park Golf Course in Troy, NY.

As a team, the Vikings placed tied for fourth place with Onondaga and Genesee as they all finished with a final score of 340. SUNY Adirondack won the event with a team score of 316.

Scott Zwinge (Altamont/Guilderland) earned a top-five finish as he tied for fourth place with an individual score of 78. Tompkins-Cortland's Dan Lapp took home the individual champion plaque with a final round score of 72.

Kyle Young (Rotterdam/Mohonasen) finished near the top of the standings as he finished with an 82 and Cole Stannard (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens) also finished in the 80s with a round score of 86.

The Vikings are back in action this Sunday, May 6 as they travel to play in the Genesee Invitational at the Batavia Country Club.
