Hudson Valley Community College men's golf had its best finish of the season on Friday afternoon as they participated in and placed second at the Mohawk Valley Invitational at the Oneida Community Golf Club.

The Vikings Zach Swanteck (Troy/CBA) continued his consistent play and placed first in the overall individual standings after shooting a 77 today. Scott Zwinge (Altamont/Guilderland) also placed inside the top-10 of the invitational this afternoon with a final score of 80.

As a team, the Vikings finished the day in second with a final score of 328, placing eight strokes behind Onondaga, the overall team leader with a 320.

Nick Schrowang (Catskill/Catskill) earned a top-15 finish with a final round of 85 and Kyle Young (Rotterdam/Mohonasen) finished one stroke behind Schronwang with an 86.

The Vikings are back in action tomorrow, April 21 when they travel to participate in the Adirondack Invitational at the Hiland Park Country Club.
