Bowling Placed Second at Westchester Classic

The Hudson Valley Community College bowling program placed second overall with a total score of 6,058 at the SUNY Westchester Classic on Sunday afternoon at the Carmel Lanes in Carmel, NY.

Matthew DiGiulio had a great day for the Vikings as he placed fourth overall in the All-Events rankings with a final score of 1,118. In DiGiulio's game in which he recorded a 251, he tallied seven straight strikes to start the game. Joseph Minehan placed seventh overall in the All-Events with a score of 1,069. Minehan also placed second in the singles portion of the event, tallying 586 pins, four behind the leader.

The doubles team of Wilcox and Daniel Goldston finished fifth overall as they posted a score of 1,031. AJ Wilcox also earned a top-10 finish with an All-Events score of 1,075. Goldston placed ninth in the singles portion, just ahead of teammate, Sean Howlan, who placed 10th with a singles score of 523.

Up next for the bowling program is the Schenectady weekend where they participate in the Boulevard Bowl Classic on Saturday, February 3rd and the Schenectady Invitational on Sunday, February 4th. Both events will be hosted by the Boulevard Bowl in Schenectady, NY.
