Parker Brown Wins Tiger Cup; Bowling Placed Seventh

The Hudson Valley Community College bowling program placed seventh at the Tiger Cup, hosted by Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), in Rochester, NY on Saturday afternoon.

As a team, the Vikings tallied 5,893 pins and placed just behind Mohawk Valley and ahead of Schenectady and Cornell University. Parker Brown had a big day as he won the men's individual competition with a season-best score of 1,469 pins. Brown had 200-plus scores in four of his seven games bowled this afternoon, which included a team-best 255 in game five.

Sean Howlan and Joseph Minehan were consistent as they both tallied scored above 1150. Howlan posted an 1,189, while Minehan finished with a score of 1,162. Isabella Guyer placed fourth on the team with a score of 1,061 and Aaron Wilcox placed fifth on the team with a score of 1,012.

The bowling team is back in action tomorrow, Sunday, February 12 as they compete in the Brick City Cup, hosted by RIT at the AMF Empire Lanes in Rochester, NY.
