Bowling Placed Second at MVCC Match

The Hudson Valley Community College bowling program finished second at the Mountain Valley Conference match, hosted by Mohawk Valley Community College at the King Pin Lanes in Rome, NY on Thursday afternoon.

As a team, the Vikings combined for a total pin count of 3,527 and were led by Parker Brown, who finished with a 674 series. Newcomer, Christopher Hertle reached personal bests as he earned a high-game of 220 and a new high-series of 543.

Willis Bickford continued to bowl well as he tallied his best round in the final game of the match, scoring a 244, on his way to a 619 triple. Sean Howlan bowled two of his three matches in the 200s and finished with a 588 series.

AJ Wilcox added 540 pins to the Vikings total score and Isabella Guyer just missed a 500-series with a final series score of 496.

The bowling team is back in action this weekend as they participate in the Schenectady hosted events, the Boulevard Bowl Classic on Saturday and the Schenectady Invitational on Sunday. The two events will be held at the Boulevard Bowling Lanes in Schenectady.
