Salvagione, Caputo Leads Respective Bowling Teams in Boulevard Bowl

The men's and women's bowling programs competed in the Boulevard Classic on Saturday afternoon in Schenectady, NY. 

The men's bowling program continued their terrific bowling as they finished fourth overall with a total score of 6,138 while the women's team placed seventh overall and posted a total score of 4,109. 

Individually, the men's program was led by Christian Caputo, who placed 16th overall and averaged a five-game total of 201.8. Caputo's individual high was a 212, which he obtained in the third game of the day. Jordan Nichols was right behind Caputo, who placed 19th overall and averaged 200.6 per game. Nichols had a tremendous individual high with a 265, which also came in the third game of the day. 

For the women, freshman Haley Salvagione led the way for the Vikings with a sixth-place finish, while averaging 164.6 per game. Haley's individual high game came in the final game of the day as she bowled a 205 to push her individual total to 823 pins. Gianna Weiss also earned a top-10 finish as she placed ninth while averaging 160.8 and posted a game high of 192 in the opening game of the tournament. 

The Vikings bowling teams are back in action tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 2 as they travel back down I-90 to compete in the Schenectady Invitational in Schenectady, NY.
