Bowling Competes in Schenectady Invitational

The men's and women's bowling programs competed for the third straight day as they participated in the Schenectady Invitational on Sunday afternoon in Schenectady, NY. 

Overall, the men's program finished fourth with a total score of 6,766. The men entered the last two baker games in second place and trailed by 38 total pins. The men's team had three student-athletes average a 200-plus score over the course of five games. Jason Macey led the way with a 213 average and was followed by Jordan Nichols (Saratoga Springs / Saratoga Springs), who had a 204 and Christian Caputo (Rotterdam / Schalmont) averaged a 201.

The women's bowling team finished fifth overall and were led by freshman Jordan Thomas (Lake Katrine / Kingston), who placed second in the overall standings with a total score of 904, just five pins behind the overall leader. 

The Vikings bowling teams do not return to the lanes until next Tuesday, Feb. 11 when they compete in the final Mountain Valley Conference match of the season, hosted by Adirondack at 1 p.m. in Queensbury, NY.
