The Hudson Valley bowling had a tough day at the 2019 NJCAA Region 3 Championships on Sunday afternoon in Utica, NY. The Vikings finished fifth with a score of 8,075.
Michael Taber (New Baltimore/Coxsackie-Athens) earned the top score for the Vikings as he finished eighth in the men's singles portion of the tournament and he placed 10thin the final overall standings. Taber tallied a score of 769 in singles play and had a score of 1488 when you included the baker games results.
Donald Baker (Ravena/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) placed 14thwith a singles score of 739 and totaled 1412 in the overall standings.
Catherine Lynch (Troy/Lansingburgh) and Jordan Nichols (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) finished fourth in the doubles portion of the tournament as the Vikings top duo recorded a score of 1509.
The bowling team returns to action on Thursday, February 28 for the start of the NJCAA National Tournament in Erie, NY.
