Men’s Bowling Concludes Conference Play at Adirondack

The Hudson Valley Community College men's bowling team participated in and placed second at the final Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference match of the season, hosted by Adirondack on Friday afternoon in South Glens Falls, N.Y.

In the 18 conference matches this season, Hudson Valley knocked down a total of 18,728 pins for a per game average score of 198.58. The Vikings earned a second place finish in the overall conference standings, trailing only Schenectady County Community College and recorded an overall match play record of 26-4.

Donald Baker (Ravena/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) and Spencer McClellan (Troy/Lansingburgh) earned all-conference honors for the 2017-18 season. Baker placed third in the final standings with an overall game average of 211.61. Baker bowled a team-high 299 in Friday's conference match and he recorded a hi-triple score of 716.

McClellan placed sixth in the overall conference standings with an average of 207.33 in his 18 conference games. McClellan's game-high on the season was a 265 with a high-triple of 725.

Garrett Bartlett (Brunswick/Tamarac) finished seventh overall, just out of the All-Conference selections and earned an average score of 204.33 in 18 conference games played. Bartlett's high-game this season was a 260 with a high-triple of 670.

The men's bowling team will now prepare for the NJCAA Region III bowling tournament on Sunday, February 18.
