The Hudson Valley Community College men's bowling team kicked off the 2017-18 season last week as they traveled to Allentown, PA for the Roto Grip Keystone Classic and the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Classic.

The men's team finished 28th out of 35 teams at the Roto Grip Keystone Classic. The team combined to strike down a total of 7,725 pins with a 921 high game and a 2,632 high series during the tournament.

Joshua McCart placed with the best score for the Vikings as he completed the tournament with 947 total pins in five games. McCart's high game was 208 with a 583 high series. Garrett Bartlett finished with 937 total pins with a game high of 214 and a 545 series high.

Dominick Ippolitto closed out the Keystone Classic with 850 total pins with a high game of 197 and a high series 566. Nathan Laustrup tallied 796 pins with a 193 high game and a 495 high series. David Shaw added 461 total pins for the Vikings, including a high game of 162 and a high series of 310 in three matches.

Austin Knight bowled in two matches for the Vikings and finished with 311 pins with a game high score of 178.

Schenectady County Community College's Brandon Wolfe placed first with 1,144 total pins with a game high of 244 and a game series of 676. Wisconsin-Whitewater took home the team championship with 9,369 total pins.
