The Hudson Valley Community College men's bowling team is ranked fourth in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) poll that was released earlier today.
Hudson Valley, which has competed in two tournaments thus far this season, finished 10th out of 44 teams at the Colgate Invitational on December 27-28, and 17th out of 43 colleges at the Keystone Quaker Classic on December 29-30. The Vikings were third among two year schools at each of the events.
Sophomore Steve Horton (Troy/Troy High School) leads Hudson Valley with a 210.3 average thus far this season. He finished seventh out of 264 competitors at the Colgate Invitational with a 225.6 average.
Vincennes University (IN) is the top-ranked team in the NJCAA poll.
Hudson Valley will compete at the SUNY Utica/Rome Invitational on Saturday, September 17.
