The Hudson Valley men's basketball team won the sub-regional playoff game over Cayuga tonight.
The Vikings started off hot and kept their lead for the entire game. The Vikings were led by HVCC Player of the Game Julius Reed with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Reed went 4/9 from the 3-point line and gave the Vikings a strong lead over the Spartans. Hobbs Herlihy was another key player for the Vikings tonight. Herlihy totaled 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Nazier Carter had 12 points and Brandon Gordan scored 10 coming off the bench for the Vikings.
The Vikings roll on to Friday's quarterfinal game at Herkimer, the game will start at 1pm.
