The Hudson Valley men's basketball team went undefeated at home this weekend as they faced Cayuga and Finger Lakes on Saturday and Sunday.
GAME ONE: HUDSON VALLEY VS. CAYUGA (96-68)
The Vikings came out strong against the Spartans, leading in scoring in both halves. At the top of the leaderboard was sophomore James Blake with 22 points. Blake also added 6 rebounds and 2 assists for the Vikings. Close behind was Julius Reed off the bench with 20 points, 5 rebounds and a steal. Hobbs Herlihy added 14 points as well. The Vikings defense also contributed with 52 defensive rebounds, 9 steals and 6 blocks. All of the players got in for the Vikings.
GAME TWO: HUDSON VALLEY VS. FINGER LAKES (100-71)
On day two the Vikings faced Finger Lakes, also on their second game in a row after falling SUNY Adirondack on Saturday. The Vikings were ready to play outscoring the Lakers 48-33 in the first half. Leading in scoring was James Blake and Keyaton Parks each with 16 points. Parks tallied 13 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block while Blake added 3 steals, 2 assists and 1 rebound. Hobbs Herlihy had 12 points, 5 steals, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Julius Reed had 11 points and Nazier Carter had 10 for the Vikings. Every player for the Vikings had points in the game.
Looking ahead the Vikings face Rockland at home on Tuesday, December 10th at 7pm.
