Men's Basketball Bracket | Women's Basketball Bracket
The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's basketball programs each secured a top-8 playoff berth in the 2024 NJCAA Region 3 basketball championships, as announced by the Region 3 basketball seeding committee.
The women's program earned the sixth-seed as they finished with a 13-9 overall record and have pulled a tough matchup against the No. 3 seeded Mohawk Valley. Mohawk Valley currently holds a four-game win streak over Hudson Valley as they defeated the Vikings twice in each of the last two seasons. The game will be played at Jefferson Community College, the host of the 2024 NJCAA Region 3 Women's Basketball Championships on Friday, March 1 at 3:15 PM.
The men's program claimed the eight-seed after finishing the season strong with a 6-2 record in the final eight games of the season. Hudson Valley is scheduled to host No. 9 Columbia-Greene this Tuesday, Feb. 27th at 6 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of HVCC. The Vikings and the Twins split the regular season with Hudson Valley winning their last matchup 86-81 on Jan. 31 at HVCC.
