Men's Basketball Falters Late in Road Loss

The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball program had a heart-breaking overtime loss 88-83 at SUNY Adirondack on Sunday afternoon in Queensbury, NY.

Hudson Valley struggled down the stretch as they held on to a 10-point lead with about three minutes remaining in the game. Adirondack stormed back to force overtime in which they went on to outscore the Vikings 12-7 to secure the comeback victory.

James Blake II had a strong start to the game as he scored 13 of his 18 points in the opening half of the game. Brandon Gordon also had a strong game as he posted 20 points, including four points in the extra period. Keyaton Parks continued his strong play, scoring 18 points.

The Vikings are back home this Tuesday, January 23 when they host North Country at 5 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of HVCC.
