Men's Basketball Falls at Ulster

Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball program kicked off the new year on the road as they were defeated 75-69 at Ulster on Thursday evening in Stone Ridge, NY.

The men's team played Ulster tough as they trailed 32-27 at halftime behind a strong first half performance by Keyaton Parks, who scored 10 of his team-high 17 points. Hudson Valley couldn't overcome the first half deficit as they trailed 69-63 with under two minutes remaining in the game.

Joining Parks in double-figures was James Blake II, Korey Hawkins and Rowan Swan all tallied 10 points each. Blake led the Vikings with eight second half points, including a pair of three-point field goals.

The men's basketball program returns to action this Saturday, January 13 for a Region 3 matchup with SUNY Broome at 1 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of HVCC.
