The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball program extended their season-best win streak to five straight games after defeating Onondaga 93-81 on the road in Syracuse, NY on Sunday afternoon.

The Vikings have had strong starts to the last couple of games and they continued against Onondaga as they were led by a career game by Jourdan Belcher, who finished with a personal-best 38 points on 17 field goals made. Belcher scored 12 points in the first half and then took his game to the next level in the second half, scoring 26 points to help the Vikings extend their win streak.  

Trevor Green helped the Vikings get off to a quick start as he scored 13 of his 22 points in the opening half as they took a 40-32 lead into the halftime break. Josh Kiefer has continued his strong play for the Vikings as he tied a career-high of 10 points, which included a pair of three-point baskets.

The men's program falls to 15-7 overall and will travel to take on a tough nationally-ranked Mohawk Valley program this Wednesday, February 8 at 7 p.m. in Utica, NY.
