Men's Basketball Dominant in Senior Day Win.

The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team earned a convincing 94-64 win over Finger Lakes Community College as the Vikings recognized its senior class prior to the game in the McDonough Sports Complex at HVCC on Sunday afternoon.

The Vikings got off to a slow start against the undermanned Lakers and entered the halftime break leading 43-42. In the second half, the Vikings defense put on a clinic as they outscored the Lakers 51-22 to pull away with the dominant win.

Hudson Valley was led by freshman Demani Benjamin, who finished with 20 points and was one of six Vikings to reach double-digit scoring. Jourdan Belcher scored 17 points with three rebounds, two steals and Trevor Green finished with 16 points with seven rebounds, six assists and two steals in 26 minutes of action.

Willem Feeney shot 5-of-9 from the floor for 10 points and grabbed six rebounds as he earned the start on senior day. Charles Bianchino played 27 minutes and shot 5-of-9 from the floor, including 3-of-6 from behind the three-point arc. Bianchino also talled seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Vikings big man off the bench, Owens Feagles finished a perfect 5-of-5 from the floor for 10 points with two rebounds in 17 minutes of action.

Hudson Valley men's basketball returns to the court on Wednesday, February 1 when they travel to take on Columbia-Greene Community College in Hudson, NY. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
