Men's Basketball Wins Big over Ulster

The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball extended its win streak to three straight following the Vikings 107-60 win over Ulster in a non-league matchup on Wednesday evening in the McDonough Sports Complex on campus of Hudson Valley Community College.

The Vikings jumped out early on the short-handed Senators with an 11-0 run in the opening minutes of the game. Hudson Valley extended its lead with several double-digit runs, pushing its lead up to 25-5 with under 12 minutes remaining in the half and 52-24 at the break. 

Trevor GreenKobi Wallace and Jourdan Belcher highlighted the first half runs by the Vikings as they combined to score 30 of the Vikings 52 first half points. Hudson Valley continued to extent its lead into the second half to remain unbeaten in the spring semester. Green finished with 10 points, six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 17 minutes of play. 

Wallace capped off his season debut with a game-high 25 points and added 14 rebounds. Luke Bourgault posted a stat line that included 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Eriks Veidemanis added 15 points, Belcher finished with 14 points and seven boards in 17 minutes of action. 

The men return back to the court on Sunday, January 23 when they welcome SUNY Broome to the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College for a scheduled 3 p.m. tip, following the women's game at 1 p.m.
