Men's Basketball Handles Schenectady for Third Straight Win

The Hudson Valley men's basketball team didn't need the same theatrical comeback effort this afternoon as the Viking defeated Schenectady 94-54 on the road in Schenectady, NY. 

The Vikings were led by their trio of guards, Shamar Moore-HoughIziah Pigott and Will Aybar as they were the only Vikings to score in double-digits. Moore-Hough led all scorers with 18 points, including three 3-point field goals. 

Aybar finished with 16 points, which included four 3-point field goals and Pigott added 15 points and three 3-point field goals. As a team, the Vikings hit a season-best 16 three-point field goals as they cruised to their fifth win of the season. 

The Vikings return to the court on Wednesday, Nov. 20 to face Dutchess. Prior to the game, the Vikings will honor Coach Mike Long in recognition of his 500th career win, which he obtained on Saturday, Nov. 16 in the Vikings overtime win against Rockland. The game is scheduled to begin around 7 p.m.
