Mens Basketball Wins Convincingly vs. Adirondack

The Hudson Valley women's basketball team (3-1) earned a convincing 112-70 win at home against SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday evening in the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College. 

The Vikings jumped out to an early lead, leading by as much as 20 points for the majority of the first half and entered the halftime break leading Adirondack 56-35.

In the second half, the Vikings continued to play well and outscored Adirondack 56-35 to secure their third win of the season. 

Leading the way for the Vikings was Shamar Moore-Hough, who hit four 3-point field goals on his way to finish with a game-high 23 points. The game featured six Vikings with double-digit scoring. Joining Moore-Hough were Iziah PigottBrandon McKenlyJordan LewisAvery Deas and Ryan Long.  

McKenly recorded his third straight game with at least 14 points. Lewis put on an offensive clinic in the second half as he scored all 15 of his points after the break. Long and Deas did most of their damage in the first half, as they combined to score 15 of their 25 points in the opening period. 

The win gives Coach Mike Long his 499th career win and the Vikings will be home this Saturday, November 16 for a match up with Rockland at 1 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.
