Hudson Valley's men's basketball team (21-6) defeated North Country 110-87 on senior night to sweep the season series. The Vikings were led by sophomore Caleb Canty (Hudson/Hudson) as he finished the game with a career-high 43 points.

Canty exploded for 34 points in the second half of the game after scoring only nine points after the first 20 minutes of the game. His 43 points are the second most points scored in a game in program history. Canty only trails Kevin Lenehan's 44 points at Schenectady in the 2016-17 season.

O'nandi Brooks (Brooklyn/George Westinghouse) made nine field goals and reached the 20-point mark for the ninth time this season. Brooks finished the game with 23 points, while leading the Vikings with 13 points in the first half.

Brandon DeGrasse (Bronx/E.A. Reynolds Westside) and Avery Deas (Rotterdam/Mohonasen) each scored 11 points and combined to make eight field goals and shot 6-of-7 from the free throw line.

Prior to the game, the men's basketball program honored the graduating sophomores for their contributions they have made to the Vikings basketball program.

Hudson Valley is back in action this Wednesday, February 20 when they travel to play Fulton-Montgomery at 7 p.m. to close out the regular season.
