Hudson Valley's men's basketball team (15-5) found their rhythm on Sunday afternoon as the Vikings defeated Broome 94-65 in the McDonough Sports Complex in Troy, NY. 

The Vikings shot 44.1 percent from the floor and outrebounded Broome 58-38, which included a 24-8 advantage on the offensive glass and second chance opportunities. Hudson Valley took the early lead and entered halftime with a 40-30 lead.

In the second half, Hudson Valley increased their defensive pressure and scored 54 points in the final 20 minutes to pull away from Broome. 

Caleb Canty (Hudson/Hudson) led all scorers with 25 points and added five rebounds and two steals in 34 minutes of action. O'Nandi Brooks (Brooklyn/George Westinghouse) had a big game for the Vikings with a double-double as he finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds and three blocks in a limited 21 minutes of play as the Vikings had secured the win early in the second half. 

Willy Aybar (Albany/Colonie) has found his confidence and has been shooting very well for Hudson Valley in the last three games. Aybar finished the game with 17 points, six assists and four rebounds. He finished the game shooting 7-for-13 from the floor, including a team-leading 3-for-7 from behind the arc. 

Hudson Valley is back home this Wednesday, January 30 to play Adirondack at 5 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex.
