Canty Scores 30, Leads Vikings to Fourth Straight Win

Hudson Valley's men's basketball team (13-2) traveled north and defeated Clinton 97-71 on Thursday afternoon for their fourth consecutive win. 

Caleb Canty (Hudson/Hudson) led the Viking offense with a game-high 30 points, marking the second straight game Canty surpassed the 30-point mark and now has now reached 30-points four times this season. 

Canty led five Vikings in double-figures. Josiah McCall (Beacon/Beacon), O'Nandi Brooks (Brooklyn/George Westinghouse), Elliott Ankomah (Troy/Troy) and Eddie Kwaw (Yonkers/Riverside) all scored at least 10 points. McCall tallied 14 points and Ankomah had is best performance of the season with 12 points on six made field goals. 

Kwaw and Brooks combined to score 24 points. Eddie scored 11 and O'Nandi finished the game with 13 points. 

Hudson Valley returns to the court next as they begin their toughest stretch of the season with games against nationally ranked programs in Mohawk Valley and Herkimer. The Vikings travel to No. 3 Mohawk Valley on Thursday, January 17 at 7 p.m.
