Men's Basketball Upsets No. 4 Herkimer in Convincing Win

Hudson Valley's men's basketball team (3-0) upset the nation's No. 4 ranked Herkimer Generals on the road 102-72 on Saturday afternoon, marking the second straight season the Vikings have defeated the nationally ranked Generals. 

O'nandi Brooks (Brooklyn/George Westinghouse) led the Vikings with a game-high 27 points, including 7-of-10 from the free throw line. Jordan Gleason (Wynantskill/Watervliet) scored 20 points for the second straight game with six field goals made, including a pair of three-point baskets and 6-for-9 from the free throw line.

Caleb Canty (Hudson/Hudson), last week's NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Week, and Victor Potter (Bronx/South Kent) each scored 16 points in the Vikings win. 

Hudson Valley does not have much time to relax as they return to action tomorrow, Sunday, November 12 as they travel west to play Jefferson at 3 p.m.
